HANEPBUHAY from Villar SIPAG livelihood projects

One major advocacy of Senator Cynthia Villar and former Senate President Manny Villar, through Villar SIPAG, is the creation of livelihood programs and projects as a way of liberating the poor from the clutches of poverty. To date, Villar SIPAG has already established a total of 806 livelihood centers in the whole Philippines. Sen. Cynthia Villar aims at achieving at least one livelihood center in each of the 1600 cities and municipalities in the country.

This year, Villar SIPAG partnered with Philip Morris Philippines Inc. through Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation Inc. in the conduct of waterlily weaving training particularly production of waterlily slippers, baskets and mats. The project kicked off last April 2016 in the provinces of Rizal, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Bicol, Camarines Sur and Albay.
